   WA Seminar  -  Design of residental & low-rise steel framing   (Brochure)

   The presentation will overview the new NASH Handbook “Design of Residential and Low-rise Steel Framing” released in August 2009. 
   The handbook supports the previously released NASH Standard – Residential and Low-rise Steel Framing Part 1: Design Criteria which
    sets out the design criteria, in terms of structural adequacy and serviceability, for use in the design of low-rise steel framing. This includes
    houses as well as other low- rise residential and commercial buildings.  
   Topics included in the handbook include: Roof Systems, Wall Systems, Floor & Subfloor Systems, Bracing Systems, Connectors, Testing, Durability, Fabrication & Construction Practice, Additional Design Considerations.
   The Handbook also includes performance data for a number of proprietary components such as screws, rivets, bolts and anchors.
   The presentation will also include information on 2 new standards being developed to provide steel framing span tables and related information.
